EU-funded projects
CADesigner Engineering Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością has received European Union support for the projects described below.
This page presents the project objectives, planned activities, target groups, outcomes and funding amounts.
Project 1 of 3Material sorting and processing centre
Full project title: Construction of an Automatic Sorting and Processing Centre for Future Materials and Alloys using an X-ray scanner.
Programme: European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027
Fund: Just Transition Fund
The project in simple language
- We are building a plant that recovers aluminium.
- Machines separate materials using X-rays.
- The recovered aluminium can be used again.
Project objective
Diversifying the company’s activities and producing green aluminium raw material.
Project activities
Construction of a hall, purchase of an automatic shredding and material sorting line and a wheel loader. Installation of rooftop photovoltaics.
Who the project is for
Metal smelting plants.
Planned outcomes
New aluminium raw material, increased material recovery, development of the circular economy and job creation.
Full description of the project scope
The project aims to diversify the company’s activities while mitigating the economic, environmental, employment and social impacts of the transition arising from the European Union’s energy and climate objectives for 2030 and 2050.
The project comprises construction of a production hall and purchase of two fixed assets: an automatic waste shredding and sorting line and a wheel loader. These will enable the introduction of a new product, green aluminium raw material, intended for metal smelting plants.
The new product and its manufacturing process constitute a technological innovation.
The production hall also incorporates a complete rooftop photovoltaic system, increasing the company’s energy autonomy and security and reducing its dependence on coal-based energy.
The project follows key environmental principles: sustainable development, “do no significant harm” and the circular economy.
The investment also includes increased employment to operate the new process.

Project 2 of 3Mobile railcar assembly and welding station
Full project title: Automated universal mobile station for the assembly and welding of rail vehicle car bodies
Programme: European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027
Fund: European Regional Development Fund
The project in simple language
- We are developing a mobile station for railcar production.
- The station will help with precise assembly and welding.
- The solution is intended for train, tram and metro manufacturers.
Project objective
Development of an automated universal mobile station for railcar assembly and welding.
Project activities
Industrial research and development, station design and prototype construction involving design and manufacturing teams.
Who the project is for
Manufacturers of railway carriages, trams and metro vehicles.
Planned outcomes
A new station supporting precision, automation and mechanisation in rail vehicle production.
Full description of the project scope
The project aims to carry out industrial research and development to create an automated universal mobile station for the assembly and welding of rail vehicle car bodies.
This objective responds directly to the situation of the target industry: railway carriage, tram and metro manufacturers. The sector has a low degree of automation, while its structures must meet strict geometric and dimensional tolerance requirements.
To optimise the environmental and financial costs of the process and ensure passenger safety, car body production must focus on precision, which is directly linked to greater automation and mechanisation.
The new product addresses this problem. Its functionality, planned dimensions of 17 m long × 5 m wide × 4.5 m high, and maximum mass of 40 tonnes make it a significant engineering challenge.
The company will establish a broad research team comprising designers and manufacturers of the prototype and its components, and involve a scientific institution.
The project will contribute to the development of the industry and smart specialisations (RIS). It concerns research related to the European Green Deal and supports the European Research Area Policy Agenda through synergy with Horizon Europe.

Project 3 of 3Long rail transport system
Full project title: Development of a flexible rail wagon fitting system for transporting long rails used in high-speed railway infrastructure.
Programme: European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027
Fund: Just Transition Fund
The project in simple language
- We are designing a system for transporting rails by train.
- The system will handle rails from 24 to 120 metres long.
- The solution is intended for rail carriers in Poland and the European Union.
Project objective
Development of a flexible rail wagon fitting system for long rail transport.
Project activities
Industrial research, development and implementation of a rail transport solution. The project provides for four new employees.
Who the project is for
Logistics operators and rail carriers from Poland and European Union countries.
Planned outcomes
A new system for transporting 24–120 m rails, reducing waste and developing railway infrastructure.
Full description of the project scope
The project aims to conduct industrial research and development to create an innovative new product: a rail wagon fitting system for transporting long rails.
The design provides for transporting rails from 24 to 120 metres long and 149 to 172 mm high. In accordance with EN 13674-4, this will allow use in different EU countries. Short rails can also be transported using a mobile yoke as an additional element.
Long rails are mainly used in high-speed railway infrastructure, which is expanding across EU countries. They also support climate adaptation by reducing the number of welds, which are particularly vulnerable to varied and extreme weather conditions.
The new product’s environmental aspects also include climate adaptation, minimising manufacturing waste and reducing CO2 emissions.
The project includes an implementation component and the recruitment of four new employees.
The project also aligns with EU policies on sustainable development and transport, the circular economy, the European Green Deal and equality. It follows regional policies: the Territorial Just Transition Plan, the “ŚLĄSKIE 2030 — Green Silesia” development strategy and the Silesian Voivodeship Technology Development Programme for 2019–2030.
The project targets logistics operators, namely rail carriers in Poland and EU countries. Its target market is the long rail segment of the railway infrastructure sector.
